Construction Weather: Wet, 35oF - 45oF
A construction update by block:
,

The 200 West Block has all new pavers installed in the middle of the Mall with a new fire hydrant installed adjacent to the Ice Park, and all the runnels have been re-pointed. Temporary entrances have been installed for all businesses on the northern half of the block while crews demo and reinstall pavers.

The 100 West Block is almost finished with the re-bricking down the center portion of the Mall. Barton Malow crews are beginning to "Flip the Fence" to allow crews to begin work in front of businesses on the northern side of the Mall. Temporary construction entrances will provided to all merchants and businesses.

3 truck loads of pavers were delivered today at the First St. construction staging yard. Paver delivery will continue as required by the efforts of the installers.

At the 300 Block East, construction crews have installed the granite banding and sand setting bed. This differs from previous installations, in that, now the bricks can just be laid into place rather than putting bricks down and then saw-cutting the brick to lay in the granite banding.

The 400 Block is almost entirely finished. The remaining work includes the demolition and installation of new pavers front of the businesses on the southern side. This work will be completed after the 400 Block Party, which is scheduled for Thursday, February 19.

And last but not least, the Central Corridor of the 500 Block has been demo'd, cleaned up, and utility work is finished. Crews have begun to install the granite banding around the trees where the Discovery Museum Carousel will once again sit.
As always be sure to check the Phasing Plans to stay up to date on where crews have been, where crews are, and where they will be next.
