Crews from Parham Construction Company continued demolition activities on the 200 East Block, and continued to prepare the slab at Central Place for the new pavers. Installation of the pavers is expected to begin in the middle of next week.
Trenching of the slab for the new electrical conduit is on-going. In addition, crews have begun cutting the slab as required for the installation of the new junction boxes (foreground of picture above).
Crews from Parham have exposed the 12 inch diameter water main at the west end of the Mall (adjacent to the Ice Park) in order to install a new fire hydrant. This hydrant will provide better coverage for the Fire Department on the west end of the Mall.
